Hello, my name is Megan Boland! I currently live in Greenville, SC. My husband and I met while attending Bob Jones University and after we got married in 2011 we decided to stay in the area. I grew up in a small town in southeast Iowa. I finished my undergrad degree in 2011 and I am planning to finish my Master of Education degree in Teaching and Learning- Educational Technology and Online Learning this summer. I currently work as a K-5 Teaching Assistant in a public school, but I would love to be in my own classroom. I enjoy using all kinds of technology. I am comfortable with most things handed to me and I am willing to try many new programs and platforms out. The first year after I graduated from college I worked as a first grade RTI teacher and I used computer programs with some of my students on a one to one basis. The students enjoyed using the computer, and were excited about the learning process. For whole group instruction I enjoy using Activinspire for the Promethean Board and letting the students interact with what is displayed. Although our district does not provide teachers or students with access to iPads, I recently started using my Kindle tablet with the students as well as an iPad. I am excited about all the new opportunities we have at our fingertips with the technologies these tablet devices offer.
